Elegant 19th Century Women's Vest *aubergine Silk Brocade

Rare XFine quality 1890's - 1910 vintage Women's vest.   I love the Wasp style, with its low S curving front. 

**The silk satin brocade is exceptional.  It is a  Aubergine silk brocade...medium weight..has some body, but is still supple and soft. 

**Remarkable brocaded design...almost looks hand embroidered.  Done in silk ....colors are Golden yellows, rich pinks, purples, emerald, white and blue.  Abstract floral design.

**Soft collar.  Covered large buttons  below waist, covered smaller button on RH side.  Bound button holes.  Lined in satin. 

C O N D I T I O N:  Excellent condition.   Stains on the silk backing.  Brocade silk Presents like a dream!

S I Z E: Length:  front 22", back 15 1/2".  It measures approx 32" around down by the buttons.  Bust is hard to measure as it can adjust to fit.  Our mannequin is 35"...could handle larger and smaller.  Please email with size if any questions.
