Enamel on Copper Icon signed

Superb 19th century Austrian  foil enamel on copper portrait of the Madonna & child. I can’t begin to tell you just how exquisite & fine the detail of this picture is .The Madonna & Child are seated in a throne chair with olive branches above. The foil enamel adds so much dimension & sparkle to the painting; the colors are rich & vibrant. The frame is a period  classical frame in bronze with a dark patina. This is a large size miniature measuring overall in the frame 9 ½” x 6”.The enamel plaque measures 5 ½” x 4” .The frame has a round hook attached to the back for hanging on the wall .The portrait is signed on the lower left  " L Coblentz. It is in very good condition, having only one hairline running across the Madonna’s foot to the edge of her cloak; it is very hard to see unless you use a loop.
