		A handsome English burl walnut lap desk on stand. This interesting desk opens to reveal a leather writing surface and fitted compartments for inkwells and writing instruments. When lifting either side of the writing surface this will reveal paper or document storage and notice the hidden compartments which is revealed by a hidden release. We personally made the stand for this lap desk. The lap desk dates to 1870-1880.
