		An important English long case 8-day clock made from English oak and having banded mahogany veneers and rosewood inlay. This clock has a broken arch pediment with brass finial, two solid mahogany turned columns to the bonnet, nice arched center door and resting on bracket feet. A painted dial face with a seaside landscape and merchant ships adorns the clock works. Maker: John Simpson City: Spalding, England c. 1850-1870
