English Miniature Portrait Ivory Gentleman, 1820

Miniature portrait on ivory of a handsome English Gentleman. Sight is approx. 1 1/2 inches square and it is framed in a wooden frame which is approx. 3 1/4 inches square. Vellum backed ivory has the name M. Jacole Cardboard backing lists it as Very fine English.

He has that wonderful Lord Byron look with the hair around his face, solft blue eyes and handsome face. Wearing a dark blue jacket with white shirt and high necked tie.

Dark grey background.

I see no chips or cracks and color is quite good.

A very sweet and wonderful piece.
