A heavily carved English oak settle with cushion seat covering a lift seat to expose storage area. Wonderful detailed carvings adorn this piece to show the quality of the craftsman. Royal faces are carved to the back. Notice all of the detailed carvings from lions, acanthus leaf, to rosette's. An outstanding settle. C.1860-1880
