A mid 18th century luxurious Italian striped silk coverlet with a ground of beige and alternating stripes in colors of white, brown, green, light green, mauve, and blue. Made from several pieces exquisitely hand stitched together and all stripes matching. Edged with a solid coordinating green silk that is shorter/less wide on the front and all corners are rounded, just look at the photos to see how perfect the hand stitching was done.
Condition: A couple of very small spots and slight wear/rub to areas along the edging that is consistent with age. I have not had this cleaned but can be professionally dry-cleaned.
