Now this piece I am going to have a very hard time selling. It is seeping with old world charm, rustic as can be, the ultimate French Country kitchen accessory. Clean as a whistle but very clearly used extensively at one time. The chopping block has a deep worn depression. The knife is rough hewn from what appears to be steel, due to oxidation. This monster is heavy, at least 10 pounds. Sturdy, solid: can't you just see it on your counter Condition in one respect is irrelevant, as the obvious aging of the wood and the steel blade with the associated patinas are what make this a desirable antique. Else, one might point out that there is a hairline crack in the handle, perhaps some aging related separations in the wood. But this piece is truly rock solid.
