Fantastic 20's Irish Crochet Lace Dress W/embroidered Linen

Gorgeous Irish Crochet Lace & Linen Dress  1920s or a bit earlier.  There is a timeless quality to this style...it looks as chic today as the day it was made.   The cutwork, embroidery, hand made Irish crochet and linen make this dress exceptionally beautiful.    

**There is something compelling about the beauty of Irish Crochet.  It is romantic, but also has a dramatic flair as it is not a fine as some of the other laces.  Victorians and Edwardian's loved to make women's clothing using this gorgeous lace.  Irish crochet is elegant, sturdy and wearable.....which is why it is highly sought in dresses and jackets.

**Please notice the exquisite cutwork and embroidery on the linen insets.  

** The style of this dress reflects the new found freedom of the unstructured dress for women.  It is basically cut straight with raglan style sleeves.  The dress slips over head and hooks and snaps up the back.

**We show the dress belted with a bit of lace at a slightly empire level.  This is a lovely way to wear this dress as well as the classic unstructured 1920's look.  Beautiful if worn as a Wedding gown.  Also, many women are wearing the Edwardian and 20's whites with contemporary accessories.
