It would make a stunning bridal gown if looking for a period wedding gown. **There are "Sunburst " details throughout...created by hand with delicate pin tucking. Each sunburst center features a needlelace inset . **The bodice is slightly blousy (wasp style). The neckline is rows and rows of Dotted Valencienne lace. This forms a classic Victorian high neckline. It also has pin-tucks, needlelace and an inset of trim, and another row of trim. The sleeves are softly gathered at the shoulders. The top part of sleeve forms moderate puffs or the leg-o-mutton style. The bottom portion of the sleeve is more fitted, created with pin tucks. It has Valencienne lace insets and the "Sunburst" detail. **The waist is created with rows of Valencienne lace. Gathered at the waist in the front and the fullness created in the back with pin tucks. It forms a "V" in the center front. The back of the bodice and dress buttons with 16 mother of pearl buttons. **The skirt is moderately full. It features 21 of the "Sunburst" hand done motifs. The skirt has insets of Valencienne lace. About 24" from the hem is an exquisite ruched detail. PLEASE NOTE: The Georgian Brooch is not for sale. C O N D I T I O N: Overall excellent condition. It presents beautifully. There is one minor repair at the hem...about 3" vertical tear which we have mended. This is only noticeable if you look for it. Any other issues are not worth noting. **The dress has not been cleaned...it came to us in remarkable condition. It does need to be cleaned...it is dingy, but has no glaring problems at all. We are happy to do this for you, and will quote charges if you decide to use our cleaning service. We are experts in this area, use no chemicals. We can preserve the ivory tone or encourage it towards a brighter white. S I Z E: Probably about a size 4-6.....maybe a small 8.
