Fireplace Andirons George Washington 19c

American heritage fame Fireplace Andirons with the full figure of George Washington, dating from the 19th century. The casting is very good, and has remnants of gold gilding over the cast iron - a fabulous unique look. No foundry mark as to the maker, but are good quality and very stately and handsome. Any American History buff, lawyer or politician could have these for the fireplace in their Study, not a common item to find in genuine andirons.

Measurements: 20”H 9”W across the very bottom at the widest point and 17”D from front to back including the fire dog log holder
