The very best Victorian Fireplace mantle to ever come along Really, I bought this mantle thirty five years ago in Philadelphia. I have saved it all of these years hoping to someday build a fireplace in my bedroom:Im giving up the idea, its not going too happen This is a tiny mantle ,made in the middle 1800’s.Beautiful rich American Black Walnut ,all hand carved. The surface patina is original & just so elegantly rich & lusterous.This mantle is one piece. Measuring 77” High overall x 39” Wide. The firebox opening is 27” High x 21” Wide, there is a 1 ¼” molding attached ,that can be removed to make a larger opening. From floor to mantelpiece shelf 48” Depth of mantle shelf 10”.This really is an architectural masterpiece.
