French 18th Century Oil Painting, Landscape, Signed

18th  Century French Landscape in the classical Frenc manner of Louis XVI, a painting of the period. Truly a sweet and idyllic scene, featuring a  couple picnicking  on a river bank, several boats and a lovely pastoral scene, including  a Norman style castle set high above the river.  Much detail and use of soft light and color in this lovely work of art.The painting is framed in an exceptional early 19th century gold leafed and gessoed frame. 

Dimensions: 9" high by 10 1/2" wide w/o frame.  The frame has an ornate  4 inch border wit leaf,beading and floral detail in original gold leaf.

Condition:    Excellent, No repairs or inpainting, nice firm canvas. Cleaning reccomended to enhance colors and detailsSmall chiping to two corners of the gesso.
