A very early French hand hammered copper chocolate pot complete with stirrer. Dated late 18th century to early 19c. Both the pot and stirrer having a beautiful patina. A wood handle with a hand hammered iron hinge and loop for wall hanging. The earliest chocolate pots were made of precious metals such as silver and copper and include pieces the chocolate stirrer. Later porcelain pots were popularized by the Limoges factory in France. The design of this chocolate pot is simple and timeless.
Measurements: Chocolate pot measures 1.5 ht by 3.5 at the base. Handle measures 6. Stirrer measures 15.
