French Dore Bronze Iron Fireplace Surround

A French Empire Dore bronze and cast iron two door Fireplace Surround. The top of the surround is accented with dore bronze mounts depicting chariot driven horses with a Putti and trumpeting angels on each side. The reticulated, floral motif doors have handles and are decorated with two shield shaped mounts with applied warriors with helmets. There are flaming torches on each side with twelve grape leaf motifs atop. Each side panel is decorated with applied bronze rosettes in the center and large floral mounts. Doors framed with applied bronze torches. Very good condition with expected wear and missing four grape leaves. Very nice bronze tone patina
