	A most beautiful 19th century cadenza in Rich black ebony on mahogany & mounted with gilt brass moldings.The cadenza has a white marble top with shapely corners & inset hand painted plaques that are most likely Sevres or Limoges & have spectacular detail & are initialed by the artist .There are six plaques total. Inside the drawer of the cadenza is a black & white photo of this piece with a clock sitting on top & a letter of provenance from the former owner. This cadenza was on display at the Philadelphia Centennial Expo in 1876 by the French Government. After the expo ended this cadenza was purchased by Mr Lovejoy.See the pictures of the letter below. The Cadenza is in such beautiful condition with a very rich surface patina, the marble top is pure white & beautiful. Measurements: The cadenza measures 45" high x 44" wide X 18" deep.
