Here is an elegant rosewood Lingerie cabinet commonly called “Semainier” by the French. The word “semaine” meaning “week”. This tall and serpentine shaped piece is mounted by its original and beveled “Breche d’Alep” marble sitting upon an exquisite façade flanked by bronze ormolus and featuring a total of 7 drawers, each mounted with their original bronze handles and escutcheons, all supported by lovely cabriole legs with cast bronze sabots. Some minor restoration work is necessary here and there due to some chips (Included in the price). Circa date 1900. Dimensions 54”high/ 27”wide/ 18”deep. This item is currently located in France.
