French Petit Point Framed Fragment 18th Century

18th century French Petit Point fragment depicting a country setting with a boy and his dog. The frame is covered with a fine gold silk brocade and the needlework with gimp borders in green and a velvet rust brown mat. The corners framed by silk brocade with copper thread in form of spider webs. The backing is original and the glass replaced. Exceptional work and beautifully presented.

Measures 22" H x 19" W, frame itself is 1/2" wide. Very hard to capture the beauty by camera!
