	This is a handsome Bench Trunk made at the beginning of the 20th century combining solid walnut and poplar panels for an appealing result. The large seatback is mounted by a pierced-carved shell-shaped crest flanked by acanthus and foliates, standing in between a pair of boldly sculpted fluted columns upon the folding seat revealing a large storage compartment. Note that the seat is slightly warped due to the age. Circa date 1900. Dimensions 48”high/ 19”seat height/ 58”wide/ 18”deep.
