	This pair of Gilded Bronze Candlesticks, Circa 1850, is a sumptuous replica of the Rocaille style, so popular under Louis XV, between 1720 and 1750. The gilded bronze and its chiseling is of superb quality and shows the acanthus leaves, the garland, the opening in the base featuring grotto and the asymmetric construction typical of Rocaille style. Each candlestick is made of 3 assembled pieces: the large base, the little neck and the socket designed to fit a wide candle (2.5” diameter). These candlesticks will look great on any piece of furniture and at each end of a set diner table. In perfect condition. Dimensions 6” diameter and 5.5”H.
