French Silver Vacheron Constantin Ladies Desk Clock Letter Clip

Exquisite antique gilt Silver Ladies desk clock letter clip by Vacheron Constantin, a prestigious manufacturer of luxury timepieces since 1755. Miniature hand painting on ivory depicting a romantic scene in typical François Boucher's style of a couple in period dress in the forest. The painting is artist Signed on the lower left side - Folix. The clock is surrounded by an ornate gilt silver open pierce work and the painting by a twisted rope design. The clock is for a ladies desk, with the back angled upward perfect for viewing both the time and the beautiful painting, also functions as a letter clip. The clock has a closed back marked VNC on the  inside of the clock. The base has an open pierce work design. Comes complete with original key, condition excellent.
