French Sterling Silver Chocolate Pot, 1860

French sterling  silver chocolate pot. Approx. 8 inches tall and 7 inches across from spout to handle. Elegant and refined design with swan-like spout. Rare ivory pot lid and Rococo like handle. Center front engraving of a coat of arms in a shield crest with eagle and top crown. Marked on the rim of the lid and near the handle with Minerva

Also looks like makers marks of TD 

Patina is lovely in "as is" condition, I have not polished. Ivory has some old superficial cracks or scratches, very minimal. and a lovely feel and patina to the ivory. Most probably from the Dieppe region of France. Total weight of 13 pounces on a regular scale. A real gem for the consummate collector!
