French Tussie Mussie Sterling Silver, 1850

Tussie Mussies or posy holders  are as scarce as hens teeth. Purchased recently on a buying trip to Paris. Acanthus scroll work with reticulated design. Original pin on chain to hold the bouquet in place. Circular bottom with chain with ring for carrying. Though unmarked, I guarantee the piece to be sterling silver and was tested as such. In wonderful condition with a lovely patina and no dings or dents.
