Garnet & Cameo Necklace Early 1900s

Super nice Edwardian Garnet & Cameo necklace. The design is spectacular , it lays so perfectly on the neck. The garnets are of spectacular quality & claity.Each garnet is bead set by hand, you can only imagine how long it took to create this necklace. The central cameo carved of conch shell, has exceptional detail, this woman is rally beautiful. Overall gold on silver - not sure about the chain, it possibly is gold fill ,hallmarks on the catch are illegible, one that I can make out is C2.The necklace measures 20 1|2” Long & the medallion that holds the cameo is 2 14” X 1 3|4” wide. This sure is a beauty & fresh from a Rockland Maine Estate.
