	One of two 18th century (or earlier) German Mythological watercolor on velum painting and manuscript. Possibly an illumination of a sacred text. The scene is in two parts and of different nature, one shows a dual to death of two nude young male wrestlers; possibly Abel and Caine? To the background of the wrestlers is a panther and a lion accentuating the difference between the wrestlers. To the upper part of the composition is a figure wrapped in a blue cloak, in a resting position while petting a lamb symbolic of peace and in contrast to the symbolism of the duel between the wrestlers. At the bottom of the composition is a beautiful German gothic script, most likely explaining the scene. Framed in period gilt wood 19th century frame.
