	Finely constructed Gorham sterling ice tongs in the Imperial Chrysanthemum pattern. These impressive ice tongs have a pierced and gilded bowl on one side and a finely chased claw on the other side. There is a monogram at the bend of the tongs. The tongs are marked "Spaulding & Co." in addition to a lion, an anchor, a "G" and "Sterling". The pattern date is 1894. They measure 6 1/4" long and weigh 2 1/2 ounces. These tongs have the perfect amount of tension for picking up ice. Excellent condition.
