Write Good Item Titles
Your title is one of the most important factors for
ranking high in the search engines. Your title is what shows up
in most search engines as the link back to your item.
- What words would buyers type into search engines.
- The first 3 words in your the title is the
most important keywords.
- No fluff, straight and to the
point.
- Keep in mind that buyers don't search for words like "Beautiful" or "Fabulous".
- If you are selling on multiple venues vary the title of
your items.
Example: Wrong
Your Item Title: Fabulous Antique Thomas Webb Decanter
People do not search for fluff words, in this example
Fabulous is a waste of important keyword space.
Google limits titles space to 3-10 words (60-80 characters)
maximum in length.
use the limited space of your title for important words
or keywords.
Example: Right
Your Item Title: Antique Thomas Webb Decanter
Your Description: An exquisite and rare crystal decanter
attributed to Thomas Webb. Green overlay rock crystal
