	Wonderful bronze sculpture of a horse head .Signed by artist L.P.McCann & numbered 5/20.Meaning only 20 of these bronzes were casted of which this is #5.This sculpture is mounted on a wooden plaque & the casting & sculpting is so highly detailed. The surface patina is so rich & lusterous.Measuring on diagonal from tip of ear to base is 8 ¼” & projects out from plaque 6” .The plaque measures 6” wide x 9 ½” Long. I have not researched this artist due to time limitations & a massive inventory to catalogue, but it appears to me to be an early 20th century sculpture .This sculpture is from the Richard Payne estate here in Maine ,Mr. Payne was a long time sophisticated collector with a wide range of interests.Striving For Excellence It isn’t brilliance or just getting the breaks, It is consistent attention to & honest respect for the Customer.
