Inkwell Sterling Silver Crystal

An elaborate George III style inkwell in sterling silver. It is a graceful reticulated oval tray with two silver attached baskets which hold the two cut crystal inkwells. The handles have a graceful sweep to the floral cut work. Overall it is supported by four ball and claw feet. Each piece has matching hallmarks – for Thomas Bradbury & Sons of Sheffield England 1885. The marks are a shield with the letters TBS inside, a lion passant, a leopard head and the letter D. Very fine with an elegance and sophistication that demands attention

Measurements: 2”h x 2 1/8”w x 1 5/8” deep.  The tray measures 10 7/8” long x 4 3/8” at deepest x 2 ¼” at highest.
