An 18th century Italian silk front depicting stylized flowers and foliage in a deep raspberry/red and gold. Edged in a period gold galon with a basket weave design and wavy edges that mimics the lacy edges in the silk design, backed with designer red silk velvet. Condition: The front is made up of two pieces, the silk was originally pieced, typical of this period, otherwise bright and fresh.
