	Italian Sterling Vermeil Compact Rare Scene Of Farmer Antiques: Vintage Compacts
	Here we have a rather rare scene to be found in an Italian sterling compact. This one features a young farmer carrying a sheaf of wheat over his shoulder toward a wagon that is barely visible along the lefthand edge. He is on a country road and a lake and mountains can be seen in the distance. This tranquil scene is surrounded by faux malachite. The enameling is in MINT condition. However, the interior has a cracked beveled mirror in the lid which should be replaced or removed. The original used powder screen is still in the base. Interior aside, the exterior is exquisite and is a standout addition to any collection of Italian compacts! Measures 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" overall.
