	Definitely a conversation piece & one very unique lamp. Lovely Lady sitting in a carved wood & gold gilt cair.The Lady is carved of Carrara marble her arms I believe are plaster & then painted , her jewelry ,gold necklace & bracelets are painted on .This leads me to believe that this sculpture dates from the early 1800’s classical period. It was made into a lamp in the early 1900’s by mounting it on a brass & marble base lamp stand. Well thought out with the marble being dark gray with white veining ,which make a great color contrast for the white marble sculpture .The shade of course is new & I can just picture the lamp with a spectacular silk shade perhaps in white & gold with a classical pattern. Measuring overall from top to bottom including the shade 28” High .From the very base to the top of the lady’s head 17”.The lady sculpture 13 ½” High .The base 6 ¾” x 7 ½” x 3 ¼”Striving For Excellence It isn’t brilliance or just getting the breaks, It is consistent attention to & honest respect for the Customer.
