Lamp Vase Of Antiqiuty

One of the nicest antique lamps one could hope to find today. The original Townley vase was marble & discovered in 1773 & named for its subsequent owner Charles Townley 1737-1804 is now displayed at the British Museum. This magnificent lamp is a copy made sometime in the mid 1800’s what a lamp !It measures 22”high to top of the handles-27” high to the top of the electrical fitting aprox 12”diameter & 8 ½” square base, the Bronze lamp is extremely heavy with a wonderful rich brown & verde surface patina that is untouched, there is one very small old repair to the inside base of the handle, very hard to notice it unless you are using a magnifying glass. Otherwise is spectacular condition & begging for a great shade!
