	Late 1800s Childs French Processional Crown Circlet With Crosses Antiques: Decorative Arts
	A charming late 1800’s French child’s processional crown/circlet often worn for religious parades such as Easter or Christmas. Crowns/circlets are also often used as symbols of religious status or respect. This piece being called a circlet, which is a crown, but has no arches or a cap, also called an internal covering. The head band is unique in the fact that it’s pierced half way around and depicts crosses. The band has a slip on the backside for ease of sizing to the childs head. The front has a flower on top with a blue stone. In good to excellent condition with just the right patina for age.
