Louis Phillipe Style Safe

This Louis Philippe Safe, Ghent, Belgium is in Excellent Condition,c.1860. This safe is fashioned after a Louis Philippe chiffonier. The plaque on the front reads, “Fabrique de Coffres-Fort, Oct. Van Leuffel- Van de Steene, 9. Rue de la Maison de Force 9. Gand” The drawers are all false drawers, the center one opening by a hidden release, revealing the key hole and combination. The safe door can be locked by key only or by key and combination - the key is always required to open the safe. Two interior shelves and one lockable interior cabinet.
