Louis Vuitton Foot et Filet VVN Soccer Ball 1998 is among the most rare collector's items that Louis Vuitton has ever created. Louis Vuitton made this rare item in celebration of the 1998 World Cup in France. This ball was the first VIP item ever made by Vuitton for the World Cup. It preceded the World Cup shoes in 2002 and the World Cup Carryall in 2006. This rare gift was never available for purchase at any Louis Vuitton store in the world, making it one of the most sought after VIP items for collectors around the world. This Louis Vuitton Ballon Foot et Filet was made in very limited numbers and each football has its own unique Limited Edition number and was originally presented to writers, artists, celebrities, members of the media, sports figures and politicians that were personally invited by Vuitton to celebrate the 1998 World Cup in France. A masterpiece among the VIP and limited edition collectables made by LV, this piece has the classic LV monogram on the exterior; the official France World Cup 1998 Championship emblem stamped; and it is presented in its own unique Louis Vuitton cowhide leather shoulder carry strap with a 14" drop.

Condition: Very good repaired condition. The stitching in white (due to ball being repaired) is slightly exposed (as shown in pictures) in one small section of the ball. However, the rest of the ball is in excellent condition. The leather on this ball is in excellent condition. The vachetta is in excellent condition with only a few water marks, as shown in the photographs. This ball is in overall very good repaired condition.
