Louis XV Cherry Sideboard

French Louis XV walnut marble topped sideboard. The pictures speak volumes for this piece Check out the detail This is a spectacular French sideboard which dates from around the turn of the 20th century (1900-1920). The quality of this piece is unsurpassed in regard to wood selection, proportion, scale, carvings, hardware and choice of marble. It really does have it all. There are lots of French sideboards around, but not many that can compare to this one This is another piece that came directly from our owner’s personal home due to a move to smaller quarters. The sideboard has beautiful shaped panel doors and brass barrel form hardware. It is embellished with very fine carvings and highlighted by the lower apron carvings of a basket of fruit with flowing leaves grapes. The ends of the sideboard are bowed and curved which add interest to the piece. The marble is a beautiful rouge and pink with a polished ogee edge.
