A fabulous 19th century Louis XV style tabouret with a needlepoint covering the seat. The X-stretcher connects to four cabriole legs. The legs are adorned with carved sunflower knees and roquillard feet. The seat rails are centered with a shell carving on all four sides, flanked by a diaper carvings. The really set the piece of is a touch of gold accenting to the carvings. C. 1880-1890
