Incredible Mason Hamlin Concert Grand Piano Model CC. A most rare and Wonderful piano! Completely restored 1901 Mason Hamlin CC Concert Grand serial number 12678. At 9’4" this piano is one of the largest pianos around (not to mention one of the heaviest). The tail end is much wider than most concert grand’s, more than 40", as though the intent had been to scale up a model BB in every direction. The treble key block is over 8" wide. The lid requires two lid props or supports.Since it was built in 1901, it is previous to the introduction of the tension resonator. This is one of those pianos where even the striking of one note leaves you feeling as though you’ve done something important. Its strength lies more in tone quality than in overwhelming power.
