	Native American Ash Burl Ladle. Magnificent Native American Ash Burl Ladle or butter paddle c1850. Great Lakes Native American Woodlands Indians, light wear to the edges and the bottom underneath of that indicates that it was also used for at least a short period of time as an eating ladle. A finely carved swept and tapered short handle terminates with an effigy type bowed head or goose neck hook. Wonderful burl texture, uniformity and natural dry surface.
