Painted Porcelain Placque Lady In Bed

Wow! what a great porcelain plaque. This one is so unusual & quite unique in its design. I believe it dates from the art deco era .Everything in the picture is pink!! A beautiful young woman sitting in bed reading the morning paper .The detail is very fine & quite refreshing as to the plaques that we normally are accustom to seeing that is .The furniture in the painting is French classical ,painted & upholstered furniture ,a painted night stand with a tiny boudoir lamp on it .The painting not only has fine detail, it also has quite a bit of demure raised gold enameling .The plaque has no makers mark .,but on the back it has some writing in pencil script ,one word that must be the title is “ Mrs. White“. This painting on porcelain is in very fine condition & it is housed in what appears to be the original frame .The frame is carved & gold gilt in a rococo design .The frame has some damage along the top edge & some wear on the front molding from what appears to be from constant dusting. The frame can be repaired easily & it would be so worth doing .The plaque alone measures 7”x5”.Overall in the frame it measures 12”x10”.I should think that if you are collecting hand painted porcelain plaques this would be a must have example of a very unusual subject !
