Here is the most unusual pair of chairs that I have ever come across. In the center of the the back is a pierced carved butterfly body and antenna with outstretched wings newly upholstered in blue and gold silk with matching floral print silk seat and back. Each of the arms has a delicately pierced carved tree branch. Most of the carving has a hint of the original gilding. These chairs look magnificent from any view and would make great conversation pieces in your home. You will never see a pair like this again, c. 1900's.
