	Stoneware pitcher is very interesting ,glazed interior with a Parian surface outside ,I know in the back of my mind I know what company made this , but it will not come to me now It is English or American.This pitcher is in excellent condition & the detail is very fine, the exterior as I said is Parian (unglazed ) & it has a handle that is in the form of a tree trunk & it has the same white heavy glaze as the interior has .On the bottom is the impressed mark “Paxton” with impressed number 24.This pitcher measures 6 7/8” high x 4 1/8” diameter of the base. I bought this pitcher several years ago at the estate sale of the Nathan Hale Homestead in Damariscotta Maine .This pitcher dates from the 19th century & is in excellent condition.
