Satin and Lace Piccione gown, early 1960's. Remarkable lace...almost like crochet in texture. Piccione is a very fine bridal and evening wear designer. They are known for their use of gorgeous lace. **Finely made. Slightly elevated waist. The fabric is a peach Duchesse Satin (I believe it is a blend...not pure silk). The skirt is gently gathered around the elevated waist......it falls in a slight A. It is fully lined. **The bodice is made out of heavier gauge tuille and a gorgeous heavier floral lace. IT IS A DEEPER IVORY TONE...this might lighten when cleaned. (photos tend to make neutrals...brighter and white). **Back is beautifully detailed with covered buttons (for show)....it zips up the back with a metal zipper. Soft peachy velvet ribbon at neck sleeves and between bodice and skirt. C O N D I T I O N: Overall Excellent condition. Issues are because this needs to go to the cleaners. Soiling around hemline, fabric has no obvious stains, but needs cleaning (washing will ruin satin) and to be professionally pressed. Lace has yellowed with age and should brighten after cleaning, is has a 1/4" yellowish spot on the back. S I Z E: Small. Length: 56" Bust area is 35- 35-1/2", elevated waist (empire waist) measures approx 29", it falls about 14" from shoulders. PLEASE always email with ANY concerns or questions about size. We will get right back to you. PLEASE NOTE: We do not clean most of our vintage clothing, and recommend that you either wash or have them dry cleaned. Any issues we believe will be problematic we mention. Thanks, Maire et al “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only.
