Posh 50s Red Velvet Evening Gown - Nvr Worn

Perfect for the Holidays.  Vintage late 1950's early 60's Red Velvet Evening Gown.  It was never worn and still has its original tags.  The style is the Classic "A" Line look introduced by Dior in the mid 50's and made famous by Audrey Hepburn.  We are also selling the identical dress in Rich Burgundy.

**The gown is part of a collection of evening gowns we acquired directly from the original owner.  Most are custom creations and designs and Couture Quality (hand or fine details).  She had the most elegant taste, loved the flowing Goddess style gowns, and was quite tiny.  So if you are a size 2 or even less...this should make your day.  You have a chance to acquire a completely original Breathtaking evening gown.  One more beautiful than the next.  ENJOY. 

ABOUT THIS DRESS

The velvet is a plush pure red.  It is detailed in a simple elegant way with Red Satin around the neckline and at the back.  The skirt is a fuller "A" line...not as structured as the A Lines of the 60's.  It has a lovely deep "V" in the back and a satin bow.   It zips ups the back with a metal zipper.

C O N D I T I O N:  Excellent.  Has never been worn.  Should visit cleaners to be refreshed and properly steamed.

S I Z E:  Length:  57", Bust area approx 36", waist 25-26".
