	A great country scale , this one in hand forged iron & dating from the late 18th Century to the very early 19th Century. As you can see the work is just screaming of antiquity .It is in the original crusty surface & all in very good condition. The scale is mounted on an old pine base that has the remnants of some paint decoration .I love this scale , what a dynamite decoration this would be in the early country kitchen & also in the stark contemporary setting. Measuring 20 ½” Tall x 23” Across. This scale also has some impressed initials of the maker or the foundry, but they are hard to make out , now fairly worn.
