Impressive elegant 4 piece tea pot, chocolate pot, lidded sugar and cream set, all made in the finest French sterling silver by renowned Maison Puiforcat of Paris. All hand patterned, the graceful flowing bodies are ribbed with multiple flat panels that reflect light in a most magical fashion The circular feet are edged with pearls. The tops are edged with exquisitely detailed laurel leafs and berries. The creamer and chocolate pots have bell flower decorated spouts with acanthus detail on textured ground. The fluted tea pot spout attached with graceful acanthus leafs. All lids topped with gorgeous berry & foliate finials. Dating from 1920, this vintage set is still made today. Should you purchase this set new in Paris today, the cost is in excess of 30,000 euros Without question, antique and vintage sterling is the most economical way to have the very finest collection. Condition: light signs of use, such as marks from polishing, a hint of a dimple or two, a minor scape. I commissioned Puiforcat to fashion a new moussoir for the chocolate pot, as well as to replace the finial. The lid to the sugar must be set properly to seal. Otherwise these very heavy (6 pounds in total) exceptional pieces of sterling silver are just wonderful. Please see photos for dimensions and marks. All silver is fully hallmarked .950/1000 sterling.
