Rare 1860 French Glass Ormolu Miniature Vitrine Carriage Palais Royal

Approx. 7 inches long and 4 inches tall.

The detail and quality is quite wonderful.

Large carriage area with thick beveled glass lined in ormolu. Each side has a Royal medallion . Back has a smaller vitrine box. Sets upon 4 faux tortoise shell style wheels.

Areas to step into the carriage . A rare Palais Royal piece purchased at a fine shop in Paris during the Period of the Grand Tour.

It is quite substantial and overall in wonderful condition. Glass is so thick and beautifully beveled. Only loss is to one of the crown crests to the side. One lower crown crest has has come off the door though it is included
