Russian Icon In Presentation Box Mid 1800s

This is a great one This beautiful framed Icon, sits in a presentation box .The icon appears to be made of gold & silver thin foil overlays with a picture of the Madonna & Child peeking out from the cutwork. I think the work is excellent .I suspect that it dates from the middle 1800’s,The surface patina is original as found ,dark ,lustrous& yet a bit dirty, I just love the look of it , that totally untouched look. Kind of Primitive in feeling ,Anyway this is a nice one. The presentation case measures 12 5/8”H x 11 1/8” Wide x 2 ¾” deep. The Icon under glass 9”High x 7 3/8”Wide.The Frame 11 5/8” Long x 10” Wide x 1” Deep.
