Russian Miniature Painting Father And Son, 1820

A superb Russian painting and on the back is written 1820. On paper and attached to old card stock, looks to be a father and son. Their faces are masterpieces, the intricate wrinkles and life lines on the man's face and the wide eyed wonder of the boys. The clothing is quite wonderful with his suit coat quite wrinkled and wearing a black arm band. Still life on the table of a book with glasses, a pipe and glass or tobacco case. There is a signature in the foreground on the bowl of the pipe. Difficult to make out and it appears to be in Cyrillic.

Frame looks to be original and is beautifully carved and gold gilt.

Overall in good condition with  a bit of paint wear to the edges
